The new home of LUM is taking shape in Casamassima: an innovative and sustainable campus that will span 11 floors covering a total of 24 thousand square meters. The goal is to open up to exchange of experiences and to an educational world that increasingly requires multimedia.
Not only classrooms and laboratories, but also spaces for discussion and sharing. Alongside learning spaces, there will be workshops for entrepreneurship and innovation, student services, and facilities to facilitate networking with companies and institutions. The original design of the building, conceived by architect Aldo Rossi, will be reflected with structural elements that evoke the traditions and culture of the region.
The new LUM campus will be distinguished by high sustainability and energy efficiency standards and will give the University the international scope it aspires to by fully integrating into the surrounding area.
