Graduating and Graduated Students

Orientation

This phase aims primarily to support our young graduates in finding opportunities that best match their profile and to support them in their job search. Work placement assistance is one of the activities promoted and implemented by LUM University. In order to successfully achieve the employment goal, this phase includes numerous activities for acquiring soft skills that are useful and applicable for entering the workforce.

  • Skills Balance Desk

The activity in question takes place through a permanent help desk service for new graduates who will benefit from a personalized path, which can be summarized in the following steps:

  • skills balance assessment (use of specific psychometric tools related to professional orientation);
  • in-depth analysis of the local job market and specific person’s employability, based on their characteristics;
  • planning of a professional plan;
  • analysis of the person’s employability expressed through the definition of the professional goal arising from the skills balance assessment and the drafted professional plan;
  • support in job search activities;
  • company scouting.

The activities are carried out in the presented chronological order and involve acquiring the concept of self-awareness based on professional projections. The methodology used is focused on promoting the educational relationship and enhancing the person’s autonomy.

  • Job Interview Simulation

The activity in question is addressed in a seminar mode structured in two phases:

  • Theoretical, in which the ways to increase one’s ability to effectively face a job interview are addressed;
  • Practical, where simulations are carried out during which each participant will develop the ability to actively engage in the selection process.

The objectives of the thematic seminar cycle related to selection interviews are multiple and include several purposes:

  1. Understanding the dynamics related to selection processes, in which the interview is a piece linked to the various activities related to the search and identification, by companies, of the profile most in line with the required characteristics for the vacancy;
  2. Structuring a set of skills aimed at developing a typically professional mindset, in order to enhance the approach to the interview with a particular focus on self-analysis and self-assessment of one’s skills compared to the position for which one is applying;
  3. Enhancing the fundamental and useful characteristics for the candidate to effectively face the selection interview experience, in addition to acquiring the relational skills necessary to calibrate the relationship with the interviewer in a harmonious and valuable way.

Participation in the seminars is free for LUM graduates who can book their participation at the email address rago@lum.it
